Safety Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety Specialist to oversee and enforce workplace safety standards across our construction projects. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, promotes a culture of safety, and reduces risks to workers and operations.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with
    safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety programs tailored to project requirements.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend
    corrective actions.
  • Provide safety training to employees, contractors, and supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, audits, and compliance reports.
  • Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety into planning and
    execution.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and monitor adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related
    field (preferred).
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification or equivalent required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in construction safety or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, state/local).
  • Excellent communication skills for training and reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams on-site.
