Public Works Laborer – Landscaping & Site Restoration

Job Summary

Our Public Works Division is seeking motivated and dependable laborers with landscaping and site restoration experience to support municipal and public works projects. This position performs a variety of field duties involving landscape repair, irrigation maintenance, turf replacement, paver repair, and general restoration work associated with city infrastructure and construction projects.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and experienced working outdoors in a fast-paced construction or public works environment.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform landscape and site restoration work related to public works and municipal projects
  • Repair and maintain sprinkler and irrigation systems
  • Perform turf repair, sod installation, and landscape restoration
  • Conduct paver repair and replacement
  • Assist with grading, cleanup, and general labor activities
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely
  • Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment
  • Maintain safe and clean job sites
  • Follow company safety policies and OSHA standards
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, crews, inspectors, and city representatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous landscaping, construction, or public works experience preferred
  • Experience with irrigation/sprinkler systems strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of basic landscape restoration techniques
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license preferred

 

Work Environment:

  • Outdoor construction and public works job sites
  • Exposure to heat, dust, noise, and changing weather conditions
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, kneeling, and manual labor
